New Addition: Pitts Pellet Peanut Scale model

This is a Pitts Pellet Goodyear/Formula One Racer built as a peanut scale model.  It  was recently donated to the museum by Stephen Griebling- The Cleveland Free Flight Society, In Memory of Dan Kane.

The bright red Pitts Pellet has wheels pants like the original version even though they add weight.Stephen comments that  that low wing designs like these are good choices for peanut-scale models because the placement of the wing means that it can be built as one piece without interfering with the motor.  This was a good performer for him, needing only a small amount of ballast to fly well.

Thank you for the donation!
