First awarded in 1931, the Sacramento Union Trophy was awarded annually at the California State Model Airplane Contest for the Champion of the Outdoor Duration Flying Event – Hydroairplane. Carl Rambo won the trophy at the last competition in 1941.
In the 1990s Carl, a founding member of the Oakland Cloud Dusters, gifted the trophy to the club for its use. The Oakland Cloud Dusters awarded the trophy for a rubber ROW event for several years before voting to donate the trophy to the museum.

Thank you, Carl Rambo/Oakland Cloud Dusters for helping to grow the museum’s collection.
