Ron Wittman is well-known as a FF guy. In the 1970s, at the encouragement of his friend Mark Smith, owner of Mark’s Models, he gave RC a try. His attempt was made with this Hawk 3-channel radio system by Orbit Electronics installed in a Windfree RC Sailplane.
I’m not sure what happened to the Windfree, but the Hawk radio system was recently donated to the museum.
