New Addition: Kayeff, Inc. kits

After being manufactured in Japan and distributed  through Kayeff, Inc. a company based in Arcadia, CA, three Control Line kits – a Texan T-6G, Curtiss P-40E and a Skyraider – found their way to Val’s Model Center in El Centro, CA.  Eventually these three kits found their way to James W. “Jim” La Barge who donated them to the museum.  The kits are complete and are in great shape, with the “Val’s Model Center” stamp and handwritten notes still visible.

Kayeff, Inc. sold their kits in yellow-gold boxes with "U-control" in large text, and full details about what the kit contained.

Thanks, Jim, for helping build the museum’s collection.

  1. Great to see these kits get placed for current and future aeromodelers to have the opportunity see what modeling was some time ago. I have a few old kits, FF, Rubber and CL and several RC kits. They are definitely a Looonnng way from pristine condition. HA! They could be donated if the Museum should really want them.
