A great time was had by all!
The Landing Party, held on November 17, 2012 to welcome back to the museum the 1/40-scale test models of the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft and Space Shuttle from their trip to Los Angeles aboard NASA’s full-scale Shuttle Carrier Aircraft was a great success. The party also celebrated the return of NASA research models, Mothership, X-33, and Moth, from The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

Visitors were able to look through a telescope with a special filter to see the sun, make and launch a model rocket, hear Robert “Hoot” Gibson and Gary Ash speak via Skype, read stories about space, as well as tour the museum and enjoy cupcakes and snacks.
