No modeler should head out to the flying field for a day of fun without having all the needed supplies. Cox made it easy for beginners in the late 1970s, advertising their Flight Kit – item #880. According to the catalog, it contained, “everything needed to get a model plane started right. Contains ½ pint Flight Power Fuel, filler hose and strainer cap, 1½ volt starting battery, glow head clip with wires, and a set of multipurpose .049 engine wrenches” and it could be yours for $5.65.

Cox recommended the Flight kit with all of their model airplanes, but especially for the beginner’s friendly Centurion.
