We are happy to report that the Bing Autoplan has been fully restored and is now on display! On Friday, January 16th Museum Director Michael Smith picked up the completed Bing Autoplan from ICA in Cleveland.
In Muncie, it was unpacked and carefully reassembled.
Yesterday the aircraft was placed on display in the main gallery of the museum. We look forward to augmenting this display in the future and we are very excited to showcase this rare, original aircraft for our visitors.
A museum volunteer is currently working on a drawing of the aircraft that will be made available through the AMA Plans department. This will not include a detailed drawing of the motor itself. We will make an announcement when it is available for purchase!
