Have you been following the images posted the last two weeks (object 1 and object 2)? Figure out what they have in common yet?
Today’s item comes from the museum’s Lee Renuad Memorial Library Collection. It is the March 14, 1914 issue of Aero and Hydro, America’s Aviation Weekly.
Featured articles include “Western Cities Offer Globe-Race Support” and “200-Horsepower Curtiss Ocean Flight Motor Given First Tests.” Someone, though, was more excited about the note in the “Activity at the Flying Fields and Hydro Havens” column about the St. Petersburg, Florida mention of the St. Petersburg-Tampa airboat line.
All three of these things have something in common. The first person to email Maria at mariav@modelaircraft.org with the common trait will be recognized on the blog and our Facebook on March 28, 2014.
