Celebrate National Museum Day by becoming a Museum Patron

If you have not had the chance to visit the AMA’s National Model Aviation Museum, we encourage you to add it to your list of fun family-friendly activities this summer. Your family can come for free on May 18, 2013 when the museum will be celebrating National Museum Day. When you are in Muncie you can also visit the other museums in Muncie which will also be offering free admission.

The museum, located that the AMA’s national headquarters in Muncie, IN together with its offerings, tell the story of model aviation, and the people involved. These stories include everything from early attempts at flight in the 18th century, the development of the three types of model aviation- Free Flight, Control Line and Radio Control- and the high-tech, electronic ready-to-fly kits available today.

Once you visit the National Model Aviation Museum you will see history come to life, as the museum staff is devoted to preserving model aviation history. This is possible because of generous donations from Museum Patrons. These patrons provide monetary support each year that allows the museum to establish new exhibits, welcome traveling exhibits, host events, and much more. Patrons help the museum with its mission to preserve and showcase the history of model aviation. Donations, including those made by Museum Patrons, have made a significant impact on these efforts.20offpromotion
