Registration for the 2023-2024 UAS4STEM season opened up on September 25, which means it’s the perfect time to sign your team up!
UAS4STEM provides a unique opportunity for students to simultaneously learn technical skills in the area of unmanned air systems and also develop professional skills such as teamwork, communication, public speaking, time management, and troubleshooting. The required Ground School alone provides robust introduction to, among other things, the scientific principles governing flight, aviation safety, aviation meteorology, and aviation radio communication.
Student national competitors indicated that they feel more prepared to succeed in science, technology, engineering and math. They also feel improved confidence along with a greater capacity for teamwork, communication and leadership.
Teams must consist of anywhere between four to ten student team members from ages 11 to 19. Each team must have an adult team manager. Each team may also have an adult assistant manager as well, although this is optional.
