AMA Chartered Club Free State Aeromodelers celebrate 17 years of flying fun

Back in 2000, FSA commissioned the flying field. Recently, Basil Roper and Dave White took to the skies to capture 3D flying. Dave’s video is an up-close view of pilot skills. Technology sure has advanced over the years.

The club house arrived later. The fun continues. Pictures can be seen here:

ABOUT THE FREE STATE AEROMODELERS

Free State Aeromodelers is an association of avid radio controlled model aircraft enthusiasts. Our flying field is located midway between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. Our club was chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, charter number 232, in 1980. Since that time our club has grown steadily to more than 130 members. Our current flying field, Konterra Model Air Park, opened in the spring of 2000.
We welcome all types of fixed wing aircraft from slow fly electrics to giant scale gas planes, as well as gliders, and helicopters. Spectators and prospective new members are always welcome to visit us at our flying field. Directions to Konterra Model Air Park can be found here.

Flight training is available on Tuesday nights at no cost to our members. See the FSA Training page for more information. Please enjoy your stay, and thank you for visiting Free State Aeromodelers.
