scott anderson AMA would like to welcome Scott Anderson as its new National Leader Member Coordinator. Scott comes from an aviation family, and loves both full scale and model aviation. He holds a private pilot’s license, and has been involved in Model Aviation for over 25 years.   Shortly after soloing he attended his first precision aerobatic contest to watch and was hooked. He began to compete and continues to this day.Scott has competed on the national and local level winning many awards.  While aerobatics is his main focus, he does enjoy time with his electric glider working the thermals.

He holds Contest Director and Leader Member status within AMA and holds several events per year.   He has been a member of several clubs in NY, PA and currently in TN. He enjoys instructing new pilots with flight training as well as proper plane setup.  Scott has also been instrumental in promoting Classic Pattern (Non-Turnaround) for the past several years.  He feels that communication within districts and clubs is important and that Leader Members are important to help clubs.
