The Flying Aces Club, an organization dedicated to stick and tissue model airplanes, holds their own Nats contest every other year. To mark the second FAC Nats in 1980, Dorothy Moses, wife of FAC member Jack Moses, created this flag. At each subsequent FAC Nats this flag was flown with Velcro numbers marking out the year’s anniversary. Eventually, however, there wasn’t enough room and this flag was retired in favor of a new design.
The retired was flag was donated to the museum In Memory of Jack and Dorothy Moses.
