Introducing the Digital Collections!

Have you ever wanted to peek into the museum’s storage and see what the museum has in its collection? Or, want to know if the museum’s library has a certain book? Well, now you can – from home!

Banner showing grid of objects in the museum collections, kinda fuzzy. Over this is the museum's logo with Digital Collections below.Part of the museum’s object and library database are now publicly available at collections.modelaircraft.org  As of the date of this blog post, May 1, 2019, there’s 835 object records and 2,734 library records. While this may only be a small portion of the approximately 11,000 object records we have, more are being added every month. It’s about half of the library records. Updating each individual record takes time, and instead of waiting years until every record was available, we decided to make what was ready now available to our members.  There’s some pretty well-known models already included, as well as some less known gems you might learn something about!
