In July 2015, at the California State Fair, the first US National Drone Racing Championships brought together over 120 pilots to compete flying multirotors with First-Person-View. Scot Refsland, of the Drone Sports Association, planned the competition and has recently donated a large collection of items to tell the event’s story.

Included in the donation is not only the advertising banners, official starting location banners, a t-shirt signed by all the pilots, a set of FPV goggles and a transmitter, but also tons of “swag” like participant ribbons, cinch backpacks, and a water bottle.

Thank you, Scot, for helping us grow the museum’s collection!
