Dodgson Designs is a prominent name in RC Soaring. Bob and Sandy Dodgson, the couple behind the company, recently donated a Dodgson Designs Windsong model sailplane. Flying this model, Bob placed 2nd in the Unlimited Sailplane Class at the 1983 Nats at Westover AFB. Along with the glider, Bob and Sandy donated a complete set of advertising materials, including copies of produced videos and pdf’s of the newsletter Second Wind.

Just curious about how you came up Windsong name as it was the name of John Denver’s company
when he had his Lear 35. I used to work on that plane N35WS. Notice the WS in the tail number.
Thanks for a rely.
I was a competition sailplane pilot (WN – USA). When young I owned, built and fly the Windsong (D Designs). I loved that plane. I am going to start building and flying RC gliders in the near future and would love to use the mechanic servo connection linkages but forgot how they are built since I no longer have the windsong manual. Is there any way I can get a photo of this or manual of the windsong for this?? It would greatly be appreciated. Or…… instruction of how to program the new radios to do the same functions. Thanks Mike King
What fun! I’ve been looking into this – give me a bit more time and I’ll get back to you by your email. Good luck!
