Andrew “Hob” Davis and Halsey Sheffield built this radio system in 1947-1948. The system combined a ground-based battery unit supporting a hand-held transmitter, and of course the receiver in the model. This system flew in two models, a Berkeley Buccaneer and a 40″ wingspan Pixie.

Thanks, Hob, for helping to grow the museum’s collection!
