Equipment used to build model airplanes is an important part of the aeromodeling story, and one of the most under-represented areas of the museum’s collection. AMA member 11424 helped correct this recently by donating two heat sealing irons for Monokote.
One of the irons is by the Royal company, and the other Thunder Tiger.

Wow, I just had to dig mine out to repair plastic tracks on a beam line (a steel beam got dropped on the guard).
