New Addition: SEV Rat Racer

This CL Rat Racer model airplane dates to the mid-1950s and was one of a series developed and flown by the SEV Special Team.  The team consisted of Dave Eden, Floyd Speer Schneider, and R.J. Van Den Berg.

This small, bright red CL is in rough shape and sitting on flat wheels, but it is still structrualy sound.
A Control Line Rat Racer model airplane, designed and flown by the SEV Special Team in the mid-1950s.

This model was recently donated to the museum In Memory of the “SEV” Racing Team.  It is now the earliest Rat Racer in the collection, and the only with the smaller sized engine.

Want to build your own SEV racer?  Plans for a later model in the series are available through the AMA Plans Service as Plans Number 33023.

Thanks for helping to grow the museum’s collection!
