National Model Aviation Day

There’ll be giant-scale WWI model airplanes, soaring gliders, small electric models and flight demonstrations to see at the National Model Aviation Museum this coming Saturday August 17, 2013.

Around the museum enjoy hands-on activities, and talk to modelers from the local Munsee Skychiefs and Anderson Aeromodelers clubs about their airplanes and current projects.

All of this is in celebration of National Model Aviation Day.

While all the events are free, any donations raised on Saturday will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.  With this in mind, come hear Norma Whitacre speak on support for military families at 11am.

The museum is open 10am to 4pm and admission is free all day.  Norma speaks at 11am and official flight demonstrations are scheduled for noon and 3pm.
