Remote control pilots are in need of land to fly model airplanes
Roberta, Ga. –A group of Middle Georgia pilots are looking for land to fly their model airplanes.
For years, the Perry RC Flyers have struggled to keep a piece a land for flying their radio controlled airplanes.
They had some land off Highway 41 in Perry, but it was sold.
“A man in his wife brought the property that we were using to fly off of. So we had to evacuate and vacate the premises,” said Perry RC Flyer Bob Clay.
The pilots only need 5 acres of flat land, but they also need an additional 40 acres of land around it to be free of homes or busy highways.
