  1. I wrote this article Woman in Modeling when I was in my fifties. I continued to fly RC helicopters until I was 75. At that time I was probably the oldest woman in the world to still fly model helicopters. In 2018 my husband passed away leaving me without my helicopter mechanic. My club North County Cloud Clippers put on a memorial barbecue in his honor and put up a bronze plaque at our flying site. They are all like my family and took on the task to teach me how to fly airplanes and keep me in the hobby. Although I really miss helicopters, I am now flying airplanes and the only woman in a 38 member club. thank you for publishing my article.
