The 2026 AMA Executive Council election results were announced on November 21st, 2025. Greg Stone, AMA District X VP, won the AMA Presidential election with 2,311 votes. In district elections, Andy Argenio was re-elected as AMA District I VP, Andrew Griffith was re-elected as District V VP, and Brandon Koch was re-elected as District IX VP. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to those who participated in the vote.
AMA Foundation Partnership with Pink Ribbon Good – (3:55)
Lee was joined by AMA Foundation Executive Director Steve Haston and Pink Ribbon Good Regional Manager Courtney Compliment, to discuss a new partnership between the AMA Foundation and Pink Ribbon Good (PRG). PRG is an organization dedicated to supporting individuals diagnosed with breast and gynecological cancers by providing free meals, rides to treatment, housecleaning essentials, and peer support. The AMA Foundation and PRG have decided to start a build contest that will work to benefit both organizations. AMA members are encouraged to build (or redesign an already existing model) that raises awareness or honors someone who has gone through a fight against cancer. Be sure to watch the interview for more information. Also be on the lookout on AMA social media feeds for additional details that will be released in the future on how you can submit your builds into the contest.
National Model Aviation Museum Needs Help Identifying Artifacts – (21:48)
The National Model Aviation Museum received a new collection in June 2025 containing photographs of model aircraft and aeromodeling events, newspaper clippings from the Massachusetts and New Hampshire area, and an event program. Included in this collection are a group of U.S. Air Force photo prints. These images are believed to likely depict a Nats contest held at a U.S. naval air station in the 1950s or 1960s. A blog post was created where you can take a look at the images and see if you can help identify any information about the pictures – such as year, location, or who the people are in the photos.
Club of the Month – (25:35)
The Club of the Month for December is the Delaware R/C Club. This AMA Gold Leader Club is located within Lum Pond State Park in Kirkwood, Delaware. The club was created back in the 1950’s and now boasts over 115 members. The club features two grass runways, a covered pavilion, picnic tables, pilot stations, and more. Entering its 33rd year with over 80 registered pilots, the “Warbirds & Classics over Delaware” is the club’s most well-known event. To learn more about their club be sure to check out the club Facebook page or club website.
IFlyAMA Facebook Group – (27:45)
The IFlyAMA Facebook group is an online community for sharing useful tips, discussing model aviation news, and showing off your recent builds! A contest is held every month to determine the cover photo for the Facebook group. This month’s winning photo was submitted by Mike Londke, depicting Samuel Londke and Dave Fischer, both of whom will represent the 2026 FSD USA Team, holding their control line combat planes.
UAS4STEM – (29:38)
Registration is now open for the 2026 season of the UAS4STEM drone competition! The competition is open to students aged 11-19. AMA 2025 Recap – (30:30)
Matt and Lee end the final show of the year with a look back on some of the events AMA attended throughout 2025. The video only depicts the swap meets, airshows, and community events that AMA had a media presence at. But 2025 included way more than just what was shown in the recap video. Not only did AMA staff meet members face to face at many more events themselves, but also the countless events hosted by AMA clubs across the country should not go unnoticed. AMA members and clubs are the lifeblood of the organization, and the AMA thanks every single member who helped spread the joy of model aviation at any point throughout 2025. We’re excited to see what 2026 brings!
