The High Desert RC Club of Fernley, NV recently attended the annual Fernley STEM Festival, and provided the opportunity for kids to have their first experience of radio-controlled flight. The festival is open to all Pre-K through 12th grade students, and features student STEM projects that are judged in three categories: Science Project, Invention, and Demonstration. Throughout the event, the High Desert RC Club provided RC flight simulators, live flight demos, and several static displays for all to enjoy!
I think it’s awesome they do this for school kids nowadays. I had nothing even close to this. At my grade school, if the powers-that-be weren’t discouraging us kids, they weren’t doing their jobs.
