Train to Become a UAS4STEM Volunteer Judge!

UAS4STEM is not just a drone competition — it’s your launchpad into the world of cutting-edge aerospace innovation! Student teams design, build, program, and fly their own drones in a mission-driven challenge that develops creativity, coding, and engineering skills.

While the deadline to participate as a team for the 2025-2026 season has already passed, now is the perfect time to join the UAS4STEM competition in a unique and impactful way—as a Volunteer Judge!

Volunteer Judges have the unique responsibility of watching and evaluating UAS4STEM teams’ Flight Readiness Reviews and mock missions through an entirely virtual, hour-long online presentation.

Does this sound like an opportunity you would be interested in? If so, now’s the time to complete the UAS4STEM Volunteer/Guest Judge Training!

This training, which will take approximately 25 minutes to complete, provides an overview of the Preliminary Competition and the Flight Readiness Review (FRR) process, including what you will be evaluating and how scoring is structured. It is designed to ensure consistency, fairness, and clarity in judging while reinforcing the program’s emphasis on safety, preparation, teamwork, and sound decision-making.

By completing this training, you will be prepared to confidently assess student teams and contribute to a meaningful competition experience.

To be a volunteer judge this season, complete this training by March 15.
