SIMNET Joins UAS4STEM as a Premier Supporter for the 2026 Season

The Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) is thrilled to announce a new partnership with SIMNET, a provider of cloud-based drone simulation and training. SIMNET will be a key supporter of the 2026 UAS4STEM Drone Engineering Challenge, providing every competitor with access to its platform.

Participation in UAS4STEM prepares students for the rapidly growing field of uncrewed aircraft systems and other careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). This partnership enhances that mission by providing teams with powerful tools to develop their skills. The SIMNET platform specifically allows students to test drone designs and rehearse missions before ever taking to the sky, leading to greater success in the competition.

UAS4STEM participants can also earn ArduPilot certification, gaining a valuable, industry-recognized credential that validates their knowledge of a key open-source flight control system. This hands-on, career-focused training provides students with a significant advantage as they pursue higher education and future jobs in aerospace. We are excited to welcome SIMNET to the UAS4STEM family and look forward to empowering the next generation of AMA members and STEM professionals.

UAS4STEM offers sponsors a unique opportunity to directly invest in a proven initiative that not only builds technical skills but also fosters the next generation of innovators. We are actively seeking partners to join us in this mission, and a limited number of sponsorship opportunities, including the exclusive title sponsorship, are still available for the 2026 season.
