Three US teams recently traveled overseas to compete in world championships. The FAI F3A World Championship for Aerobatic Model Aircraft in Australia saw Team USA take home the gold medal. Individually, Andrew Jesky placed second and Jason Shulman was third.
The FAI F1ABC World Championships took place in France; National Free Flight president David Lindley provided a report on Team USA’s success.
The FAI F5J World Championship for Electric Powered Thermal Duration Gliders concluded in Bulgaria. We would like to congratulate Team Manager Steve Condon and participants Mike Smith, Tom Kiesling, and Jim McCarthy for their efforts.
We want to celebrate all three teams and their efforts to compete against the world’s best on an international stage.
Soon the FAI F3K World Championship for Model Gliders will conclude in Romania. We hope to report the results next week.
