AMA Emails in Your Inbox

Email has become one of the major forms of communication for many organizations, including AMA. With email, we can quickly reach out to almost every member to pass on information and keep you updated and connected to the modeling community.

We’ve recently been made aware that an email is going around offering an AMA member list. Rest assured we are not selling, nor will we ever, sell our member list to a third party.

Unfortunately, there are bad actors out there who try to scam and engage you, or mimic businesses and organizations to gain access to your email account.

AMA uses two platforms to email our members:

  • Higher Logic, a marketing email platform that allows us to send large numbers of emails out and remain whitelisted to email providers: higherlogic.com
  • PropFuel, an engagement platform that allows for a more personalized email experience: propfuel.com

Both platforms always use email addresses that come from modelaircraft.org. If you get an email not from that address, it most likely did not come from us; however, with technology today, bad actors can also mask emails to look like they come from modelaircraft.org.

When in doubt, reach out to us to make sure the email is legitimate.

Stay safe on the web!

  1. Hi , Dennis Miller here, District XI AVP, president of the Frontier Fun Flyers #4618. Just a note- I have been contacted via Email by several people claiming to be with the AMA, wanting me to contact them about a distribution/member list. They say they are Business executives, names are Debra Lee, Yasa Nova, and Rosy Parker. I am assuming this to be a scam, and have not replied to them. Should I forward the Emails to the AMA, and if so, to whom? Thanks Dennis Miller Anchorage Alaska 907 947 3664
