We recently received a news release from US Drone Soccer updating the competition aspect of the sport. The release notes:

“Students from across the country are competing in their District Qualifiers in preparation for the District Championships in March. The first and second place teams in the District tournaments will be invited to participate in the 2024 Drone Soccer National Championship weekend, with the winning team becoming the US National team at the World Air Sports Federation (FAI) 2024 Drone Soccer World Cup held the following day. All roads lead to Northern Virginia April 25-28, hosted by Virginia Tech in Springfield, Virginia.”

The release goes on to note that the 2023 US National Team from Sato Academy (Long Beach, California) recently took first and second place in the FAI F9A Drone Soccer Open International World Cup Qualifier in Hanover, Germany.
