Have you renewed your club online or returned the renewal documents to AMA Headquarters? If you answered yes, thank you! If you just realized you have been procrastinating, it’s not too late!
Renewing your club charter with AMA is now easier and faster than ever! Complete the process online at www.modelaircraft.org/charter-renewal
Here’s what you need to do:
- Log in to the AMA website to ensure the system recognizes you as an authorized club officer.
- Complete the online renewal section. It’s quick and straightforward.
- Please be patient! We are processing your club charter renewal as quickly as possible. Due to timing in the insurance industry and outside of our control, we don’t receive policy numbers until the middle of February. Once confirmed, we can start processing the insurance certificates for your flying site property owners. Once we can issue certificates, we will email your 2026 documentation to the designated contact officer for your club.
Please know that we are working diligently to have all information processed and emailed on or before the March 31 deadline.
Important: If available, please provide us with the email address for your property owner. This will allow us to email the insurance certificate directly to them instead of sending a hard copy through the USPS.

I could not get the link to the online club charter renewal page to work. Tried several times. Just keeps showing “Page not found”.
Sorry about that. We’ve fixed the link in the post. https://www.modelaircraft.org/charter-renewal
your charter renewal page does not work.
Sorry for the errors. You might need to log out of the site, clear you browser cache and cookies, then log back in. I checked your account and you should have access.
I can now get to the renewal form, but when I go to checkout, it says that the charter will expire on 03/31/2026. This needs to be 03/31/2027. The errors in the system are getting to be frustrating for officers trying to renew. We will not renew until the changes are made.
I understand that it’s a bit confusing. It’s intended to indicate that the current charter expires on 3/31/2026 since the actual renewal has not been processed. Once you renew, your charter expiration date will automatically advance to 3/31/2027.
