On March 18, 2023, the Mad River Flying Association of Urbana, Ohio, hosted their annual swap meeting. This year, AMA District III Vice President Mark Radcliff, hosted a membership meeting during the event. In attendance was AMA’s Senior Director of Government Affairs Tyler Dobbs, who updated attendees regarding night operations in controlled airspace, Remote ID, the FAA-Recognized Identification Area (FRIA) process, Class G altitude waivers for sanctioned events, and more. The venue surrounded visitors with full-scale aircraft and attendance was exceptional. AMA thanks the Mad River Flying Association for its hospitality and for putting on such a great event.
