There’s an easy way to form an officially chartered Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) Club for local students in your area; and it can be chartered for FREE! Welcome to the Model Aviation Student Club (MASC) program!
The Academy of Model Aeronautics is a world-class association of modelers organized for the purpose of promotion, development, education, advancement, and safeguarding of modeling activities. In 2011, AMA established the Model Aviation Student Club (MASC) program that provides school aeromodeling clubs a means to charter their group with the organization. Form a MASC through your middle school, high school, homeschool group, or Scouts! In short, any youth focused group can become a MASC.
The MASC program is a perfect foundation to build your student aviation club on. There are club leadership roles that will help students develop leadership and teamwork skills within a hobby that can provide years of enjoyment, as well as career opportunities in the aviation industry. And what better way to utilize STEM and STE(A)M principles than through actively engaging in model aviation, while conducting your flight operations in accordance with our 85 year plus safety guidelines. If needed, we also offer low-cost site insurance, as well as event coverage, tailored to your particular needs.
Our MASC clubs are kept safe from prying eyes, and don’t appear on the Club Finder tools for the public to discover. Your safety while learning is of the utmost importance to the AMA.
