More than 1,000 spectators descended on the AMA International Aeromodeling Center (IAC) on April 8 to witness the Total Solar Eclipse in Muncie, Indiana.
The IAC was designated an official viewing location and worked with the city of Muncie to provide an experience like no other in recent memory. Dozens of AMA members joined the party and some camped and flew as well.
Spectators were able to get exposure to model aviation during the day of the eclipse with a visit to the National Model Aviation Museum, flying demonstrations, and AMA’s new simulator trailer.
