NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Alcoa (NYSE:AA) has been named one of the Top 10 International Innovations in Diversity Award winners by Profiles in Diversity Journal. The award honors corporations, organizations and institutions that have demonstrated unique, out-of-the box thinking and developed innovative solutions that offer measurable outcomes in the area of workforce diversity and inclusion.
Alcoa and Alcoa Foundation were recognized for their commitment to diversity and inclusion, investments in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) initiatives, and for inviting National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) student members to “tweet” about their experiences at the annual convention earlier this year, which resulted in nearly 1,600 tweets.
