The prospect that thousands of drones could be patrolling U.S. skies by the end of this decade is raising the specter of a Big Brother government that peers into backyards and bedrooms. The worries began mostly on the political margins, but there are signs that ordinary people are starting to fret that unmanned aircraft could soon be circling overhead…

  1. I’m pretty sure I’d be anxious if that was going on a swell. It sounds like Americans have become too anxious about each other and definetely too much surveillance.

  2. The drones are for the U.S. border where felons cross into America illegally. Yes, to come into America without proper authority is a felony regardless of persons race.
    Drones are an additional resource for police to fight crime. People who feel that the Government is watching them either have a reason to be paranoid or a deep belief that people should be allowed to be irresponsible. I personally can’t think of why any Government agency would want to watch me or my neighbors even if an agency had a drone flying overhead.
    So this “big brother” mentality could also justify that modelers FPVs are used to watch others.
    If you are paranoid about being monitored, I would suggest contacting the three major Credit Reporting Agencies and have them clear your credit report (let us know how that works out). Which by the way any savvy person can look at yours, as can any State or Federal agency.
