Youth Aviation Adventure is a half day program where kids learn about aerodynamics, cockpit instrumentation, how to pre-flight an actual airplane, aviation careers, cockpit communications and many other aviation topics.
With a single mouse click, you could help bring this exciting program to an airport close to you. YAA, who works with AMA to attract young people to aviation, is one of 20 finalists for the Lightspeed Aviation Foundation Pilot’s Choice Awards. The top five on-line vote getters will each receive a $10,000 grant. You do not need to be a pilot, or even an adult, to vote. Please vote for YAA by clicking here. Youth Aviation Adventure is a non-profit organization whose mission is to attract kids into aviation. YAA does this with half day programs that are currently being staged in 23 locations in 15 states.
