Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, and we know exactly what you’re thinking: “How will I include STE(A)M in my celebrations?”
We’ve got the project for you!
A Gobbler Glider is a great way to get your kids or students excited for “Turkey Day” while still engaging them in science, technology, engineering, art, and math learning. Kids will love the origami aspect of the project so much they won’t even realize they’re learning! And, just like wild turkeys in real life, Gobbler Gliders can even fly!
This fun, free lesson can be found on the AMA Flight School site, along with plenty of other engaging projects. You can find both the free project template and the quick project tutorial on the site.
Once your kids finish up with this activity, make sure to check out some of our other quick projects, like Coffee Filter Paratrooper, Balloon Rocket, and Outdoor Scavenger Hunt!
