AMA Club Introduces Cub Scout Group to Model Aviation

Thanks to the support of District XI AVP Bryan Wood and volunteers from the Inland Empire Quiet Flyers AMA Club, 25 Cub Scouts in Spokane, Washington were treated to a pizza event that included an introduction to model aviation using the AMA Alpha free-flight airplane. The AMA Alpha is a great intro-level plane that has been used by countless educators to inspire children to become involved in aeromodeling. Harold Vanderpool, Cubmaster for Pack 349, reports that the kids had a blast building and flying the airplanes.
