EACH YEAR, the AMA Foundation is proud to participate in GivingTuesday, a worldwide day of giving that is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Since its inception in 2012, GivingTuesday has given people the opportunity to make generous gifts to causes they care about; this year, the one-day fundraiser falls on December 1.
The AMA Foundation is excited to once again partake in this global day of generosity. With a $5,000 goal set, proceeds from our 2026 GivingTuesday fundraiser will be placed right back into our hobby by funding scholarships, supporting the National Model Aviation Museum, providing club support, and more.
To help us celebrate this day and make it as impactful as possible, the AMA Foundation will donate 10% of the proceeds that are raised through this fundraiser to Honor Flight Network to help honor and celebrate our nation’s veterans. Honor Flight Network is a national nonprofit organization that is comprised of independent hubs working together to achieve the Honor Flight mission: celebrating America’s veterans by inviting them to share in a day of honor at our nation’s memorials.
This year’s GivingTuesday fundraiser holds special meaning for the AMA community because many AMA members and hobbyists have proudly served our country. By supporting Honor Flight Network, the AMA Foundation is giving back to those who have sacrificed so much, all while celebrating the community of veterans who are an important part of our model aviation community.
The AMA Foundation encourages you to double your impact this GivingTuesday by donating to our one-day fundraiser. Not only will you directly impact the strengthening and growth of your hobby, but you’ll also contribute to Honor Flight Network’s ability to continue honoring our nation’s veterans.
