New AMA Interim Executive Director Named

Dear AMA Members,

We would like to inform you that AMA Executive Director, Chad Budreau, will be departing from his role, effective December 8, 2024, to pursue new opportunities. We want to express our gratitude for Chad’s 15 years of service and dedication to the Academy of Model Aeronautics.

Chad stated, “I am committed to ensure a smooth transition. And while I will no longer serve the mission of AMA as an employee, I hope to continue to support the AMA in other ways.”

Chad will spend the next two months working closely with AMA Senior Government Affairs Director Tyler Dobbs, who will serve as AMA’s interim Executive Director. During this time, we will focus on maintaining stability and continuity within the organization, and we are confident that this collaborative effort will allow for an effective handover.

AMA will begin a nationwide search for a permanent Executive Director. Thank you for your continued support of the AMA, and we will keep you informed of any further updates.

Sincerely,
The AMA Executive Council
