Members of the Midwest Sundowners RC Flying Club in Wheeler, Indiana, participated in the Commemorative Air Force Airpower History Tour at Porter County Regional Airport on Friday and Saturday, July 12-13, 2024.
Working in conjunction with EAA Chapter 104 President Larry Whitlow and the Midwest Sundowners RC Flying Club members, Sundowners’ Vice President Ed Rogala presented a display featuring club members’ models, as well as a RealFlight Evolution RC Flight Simulator that was donated by Horizon Hobby.
The public spoke with club members about how to get involved in RC aircraft flying and were invited to sign up for a program this upcoming winter/spring with EAA Chapter 104. The public response was very positive.
AMA provided literature to hand out to the public detailing the many programs offered by AMA.
