Title

Use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems—prohibition

Senators Sorensen, Bertrand, Guth, Zaun, Grenier

Synopsis:

A state agency or an agency of a political subdivision of the state having jurisdiction over criminal law enforcement shall not utilize an unmanned aircraft system prior to July 1, 2015.

Exceptions provided for the occurrence of a disaster, during an Amber alert or for search and rescue operation when deployment is necessary to protect life, health, or property.

Bans deployment of any weaponized unmanned aircraft system.
