Synopsis:
HR 1904 – Makes it illegal for LE to use a UAS to disclose or receive information except under specific circumstances, i.e. a warrant and other emergency/approved situations. UAS must fully comply with FAA requirements. UAS may not be weaponized.
Definition of an ‘unmanned aerial vehicle’ would include MA.
SB 1109 – A person commits the offense of unlawful use of an unmanned aerial device equipped with a video recording device if: (1) He or she knowingly operates an unmanned aerial device equipped with a video recording device with the purpose of recording another person or another person’s property; and (2) Without the other person’s consent.
Provides exceptions for LE.
