AMA chartered club, CARDS, of the Lansing area, will host its eighth annual Warbirds & Classics over Michigan Friday and Saturday June 7-8 from 9: a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at CARDS Field 8328 Otto Road, Grand Ledge.
This year again welcomes The Warbirds & Classic Alliance, a group of highly skilled U.S. and Canadian RC Modelers with airplanes that have a wingspan of up to 20′.
The CARDS club flies all types of remote controlled aircraft at their field; but this event is something special! Featuring WWI, Golden age and newer aircraft (including WWII), there are all styles of propeller driven aircraft and even modern military jets in operation!
Spectators are most welcome and there is plenty of room for everyone. The site includes handicap access, portable toilets, concessions, covered areas and bleachers with first aid stations, parking attendants and electrical power.
