The Sato Dragons team of Long Beach, California, took second, and the St. Mary&#8217;s Civil Air Patrol team of Hollywood, Maryland, finished third. Lucila Zurita was the recipient of the Dewey O. Broberg Scholarship. The contest took place at the International Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana. Ten teams competed in the contest.
