Flying Models<\/em> published its first article about an RC model in December 1950.\u00a0 The article, written by Norman Rosenstock<\/a>, featured Norm’s Electron, a model designed and built by Norm in 1949 specifically to meet the needs and abilities of radio control modeling.\u00a0 Originally controlled via a ground-based transmitter, Norm later designed a hand-held transmitter unit.<\/p>\n
