Last year<\/a>, the museum announced that the 1\/40-scale RC Boeing 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft and Space Shuttle test models<\/a> were going on loan to Space Center Houston to be exhibited in one of the original Shuttle Carrier Aircraft.\u00a0\u00a0 There have been a few delays in the project, but we\u2019re pleased to say that the SCA and Space Shuttle test models are now officially on their way to Space Center Houston<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The RC 1\/40th-scale Shuttle Carrier Aircraft and Space Shuttle crated up and ready to go to Space Center Houston.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Independence Plaza<\/a> exhibit featuring NASA SCA 905 and John Kiker\u2019s test models, as well as many other exciting things, is set to open on January 23, 2016.\u00a0 The test models will be placed on exhibit before this date acting as a teaser for the full exhibit.<\/p>\n
