about model aviation, and helped build camaraderie between the over <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps\/ms?hl=en&amp;gl=us&amp;ptab=2&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;oe=UTF8&amp;msa=0&amp;msid=117500992742145332077.000454ecc54246d01cdc5&amp;mid=1382278737\">800 participating pilots<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"640\" height=\"480\" classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" allowFullScreen=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>On October 18, 2013 the SQuiRT began a new adventure as part of the National Model Aviation Museum.\u00a0 During a short ceremony, WAA-08 creator Frank Geisler, handed the SQuiRT, its travel box, flight logs, good luck hot dog toy, and other memorabilia off to Museum Director Michael Smith for placement in the permanent collection.\u00a0 As part of the collection, the SQuiRT will be able to continue to educate and inspire aspiring modelers now and\u00a0a hundred years from now.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1050\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Michael Smith (left) receives the SQuiRT from Frank Geisler (right).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The ceremony was mainly comprised of comments from Michael and Frank encompassing the story of the SQuiRT and its travels, as well as thanks from the museum for its donation.\u00a0 It ended with Frank signing the Deed of Gift, officially turning over ownership of the
