The exact criteria can be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fcc.gov\/document\/fcc-announces-removal-toy-drones-covered-list\">reviewed on the FCC\u2019s announcement<\/a> and establish a narrow set of requirements, including a weight of 150 grams or less, limited range and altitude capabilities, and stipulations about the model\u2019s connectivity features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While this decision will likely provide some relief to certain toy manufacturers and importers, it is not expected to have an effect on AMA member operations because almost all models operated by AMA members exceed one or more of the FCC&#8217;s toy drone criteria. It is important to note that the FCC&#8217;s Covered List relates to equipment authorization and approval for importation and sale, not to pre-existing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules on where and how the models can be flown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members with specific questions can reach out to AMA\u2019s Government Affairs department for discussion.
