Congress continues to work to reauthorize the FAA as some of their authorities expire on May 10, 2024. However, on Wednesday, May 8th, AMA received word that the House will pass a 1-week extension to the FAA\u2019s Reauthorization Bill<\/a>. This extension is a result of the Senate being unable to come to an agreement on the bill\u2019s amendments. The amendments still being debated include changes in the manager\u2019s amendment, which does not affect UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) policies or issues. AMA expects that our language in the bill will remain unchanged during this extension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
